2018German car makers are lagging behind in electromobility, at least in the public perception. But with 100,000 electric vehicles delivered in 2017, BMW dwarfed even juggernauts like TESLA. To celebrate this milestone as much as the change in the brand’s mindset, we dared to approach the four-cylinder: BMW’s headquarters and symbol of the petrol engine.
We turned the iconic tower into four 101-metre batteries, and with more than 500 spotlights, video and laser projectors, transformed the 45-year-old landmark symbolising the combustion engine into a shining beacon of BMW’s future.
