Contentful
A successful partnership
We are a digital agency that combines technology, data and creativity within the JvM Group. We extend business models through innovative platforms, products and services.
In 2019, Contentful and Jung von Matt established a successful partnership. Contentfuls innovative cloud product and Jung von Matt's technical and creative know-how enable customers of all sizes to realize successful digital projects.
Contentful helps companies of all sizes to build digital experiences and successfully implement projects on a large scale. With Contentful, all content can be managed channel-neutral in one convenient place. Contentful's unique approach of storing all content in one place and making it available via APIs not only speeds up the development time of individual applications, but also enables the radical simplification of existing processes and software architectures.
As a headless CMS, Contentful fits perfectly into modern architecture stacks. Be it as a high performance SSG site, for example with Hugo or Gatsby, or as API-driven architecture for interactive React applications or mobile apps.
As a Contentful Partner, Jung von Matt has experienced and certified experts who can support companies of various sizes in the creation, management and development of novel content platforms - both as members of an embedded team and as an independent agile team.
With several successfully implemented projects, Jung von Matt has extensive knowledge about the implementation of Contentful in different use cases.
The range of realized projects includes the complete transformation of existing IT landscapes to modern microservice architectures, as well as the agile implementation of lean campaign backends within a few days.
Depending on the technological requirements and existing environments, different stacks can be implemented with Contentful and Static Site Generators like Hugo or Gatsby, or highly dynamic solutions can be realized with React and Next.js.
The cloud is also on board: Our solutions can be flexibly designed for AWS or for Azure - and of course also on premise.
Progressing transformation. We are proud to support LichtBlick, Europe's biggest green energy provider with the relaunch of their digital ecosystem.
We created a concept for a modular IT approach, which encourages separation of the architecture layers and the creation of flexible systems. We designed a fully agile working process with LichtBlick. It's largely based on SCRUM, yet customized towards the unique requirements of LichtBlick with a future-proof lineup.
In collaboration with LichtBlick's IT, we renewed the technology stack by implementing the headless CMS Contentful deployed with Hugo as a static site generator and powercloud as backend solution. Dynamic components such as a calculator or order process are built with React. The new framework is engineered to identify opportunities that consider both the business value and user needs.
But we didn't stop there, we played an active role to recruit the best talents for the LichtBlick inhouse team and supported the onboarding process of new employees.

Hamburg is becoming a bike city. With the overall aim to increase the willingness to cycle, to make the city's commitment more visible and tangible and to communicate Hamburg's bicycle-friendliness, the Hanseatic city set out to create a moving bicycle-campaign for its residents as main target group.
We developed the digital heart of the campaign. Through UX, UI and a cutting-edge technology stack based on Google's AMP framework, Contentful as flexible CMS and Grow as a static site generator we created a mobile centric, fast and modern content platform. With entertaining stories, videos and images fahrrad.hamburg stages Tattoo-Fiete, the first tattooed bike in the world, tips for bicycle excursions in Hamburg, exciting news and events not to be missed as well as information on the city's bicycle services like StadtRAD, Bike+Ride and Pump Stations. By an interactive service map users can also explore the 14 cycle routes and their official planning status.

Progressing what's up to par to be cutting-edge. We developed the relaunch for VisualVest, a German fintech company and part of Union Invest. The old website needed a more user-centric content structure along with a fresh look and feel to be a better fit for the target group. The relaunch will also better communicate VisualVest’s offerings.
Any code starts with a vision. In collaboration with VisualVest, we started off with strategy-driven workshops in which we deep-dived into the market, competitors and especially the target group. Later, we developed a new and modern experience through UX and UI and renewed the technology stack. With all of this came a new information architecture, new copywriting and a design facelift to dust off the dark and text-heavy look and feel of the old website.
