The Challenge
Fielmann needed to implement a new shop system that could support the complexity of its diverse product range, including thousands of variations of glasses and contact lenses, while functioning seamlessly across 14 countries.
Our Approach
In collaboration with SCAYLE and Fielmann, we developed a frontend that presents this information in an engaging and easily understandable way.
Utilizing the SCAYLE Storefront Core and Backbone API, we built a powerful Single Page Application (SPA) with Server-Side Rendering that efficiently interacts with the SCAYLE shop backend. A phased launch allowed for flexible adaptation to market requirements and continuous integration of new features.
Our headless architecture enabled a gradual rollout across different countries, starting with an MVP for Austria. Customers can access the service from home, choose from thousands of glasses, and place their prescription orders. The virtual try-on feature allows users to test glasses online, supporting Fielmann's growth objectives.
The Outcome
The shop is now live in five countries (Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, and Poland). Performance has significantly improved, and we continue to integrate new features to enhance the customer experience and expand Fielmann's market presence.
